At Yellow Bus Catering, we bring bold American flavour to the UK’s biggest festivals and live events. Serving from our converted yellow school buses, we dish up New York–style pizza and gourmet burgers fast, fresh, and full of flavour — ideal for hungry crowds.
Our eye-catching buses are more than just food units — they’re a full experience that draws a crowd. Over the years, we’ve catered at some of the UK’s most iconic events, including Download Festival, Leeds Festival, Silverstone British F1, MotoGP, Silverworks Island, and numerous regional food and music events across Northamptonshire and beyond.

We operate a small fleet of American vehicles, each uniquely equipped to handle large-scale catering operations:

Footprint: Our largest unit — a 12m International Bluebird — requires approximately 12m x 2.5m of flat, accessible ground space, and 5m for our smaller unit.

Serving Capacity: Up to 400–500 portions per hour (depending on menu).

Self-contained: Each unit carries its own water and waste management systems.
We handle logistics smoothly, working directly with event organisers to plan access, setup, service times, and power management — ensuring no disruption to your event’s flow.
NEW YORK PIZZA
🚌 The 2006 International Bluebird – Our Original American Pizza Bus
Imported all the way from the Webster School District in New York, our 2006 International Bluebird is the original member of our festival fleet and a real head-turner wherever it goes.
Powered by a Cat C7 7.2-litre diesel engine, this 12-metre-long, 2.5-metre-wide American school bus has been fully converted into a working pizza kitchen, bringing the authentic taste of New York to festivals and events across the UK.
From this incredible vehicle, we serve up our signature HUGE New York-style pizza by the slice, using dough we make ourselves with genuine American flour to capture that unmistakable NYC flavour. Our classic menu features Pepperoni, Margherita, and Vegan options, though we can adapt and create custom flavours to suit your event.
The Bluebird requires a 13A or 16A power connection and has proven itself a favourite at major festivals and sporting events including Download Festival, Leeds Festival, the British F1 at Silverstone, and many more.

🍔 The 2007 International Bluebird – The Big Burger Bus
Our 2007 International Bluebird is the powerhouse of our fleet, a 12-metre American school bus imported from the U.S. and transformed into a fully equipped mobile kitchen.
Powered by a Cat C7 7.2-litre diesel engine, it’s built to handle the biggest crowds and longest festival weekends.
From this bus, we serve freshly cooked 100% beef burgers. Expect favourites like our signature cheeseburger, bacon cheeseburger, and vegetarian/vegan options, all served hot and fast to hungry festival-goers.
The Big Burger Bus requires a 13A or 16A power connection and has made appearances at major events across the UK, including music festivals and large sporting occasions. Wherever it rolls in, it delivers a true slice of Americana with bold looks and even bigger flavour.
🍔 The 1997 GMC Vandura – The Compact Burger Bus
Our 1997 GMC Vandura is the smaller, nimbler member of the fleet at 5m long, a classic American bus fitted with a 5.7-litre V8 petrol engine.
Compact enough to access tighter event spaces but fully kitted out to handle busy service, it’s perfect for smaller festivals, street food events, and private functions.
The Vandura serves the same crowd-pleasing burger menu as its larger sibling, cooked fresh on board and served with speed, care, and a smile. Its retro style and roaring V8 engine always draw attention, making it as much a talking point as the food itself.
