After recently adding a smaller bus to our fleet, it was time to start transforming it into a fully functional catering unit.
This build is all about creating a more flexible setup that allows us to cater a wider range of events.
Building a Functional Catering Setup
The first major step in the conversion was cutting out a serving hatch — a key feature for fast, efficient food service at events.
From there, the focus shifted to preparing the bus for full operation, ensuring it can deliver the same level of service as our larger units.
A Fresh Look
To match the rest of our fleet, the bus received a full respray in our signature yellow — making sure it stands out at events and keeps a consistent look across all our setups.
A Versatile Addition to the Fleet
This smaller unit opens up new opportunities for events where space is limited or access is more restricted.
It allows us to:
attend smaller venues
access tighter locations
provide the same high-quality catering with a more compact setup
Behind the Build
For those interested, the bus is a 1996 GMC Vandura, powered by a 5.7L V8 petrol engine — a solid base for a reliable and capable catering unit.
Looking Ahead
We’re excited to get this new unit fully up and running and start using it across a range of events.
It’s another step forward in making our catering setup more flexible and adaptable.
