Leeds Festival Catering 2023 – 24 Hour Event Catering in the VIP Area

Leeds Festival 2023 was one of our busiest and most demanding events of the year, and we were proud to provide event catering in the VIP glamping area at Leeds Festival.

From the journey up to near 24-hour service, it was an event full of challenges — and a great example of large-scale festival catering.

The Journey to Leeds

Getting to the event didn’t go entirely to plan.

On the way from Northampton, our bus went into limp mode, limiting us to 45mph for most of the journey. Despite the delay, we pushed on and made it to site ready to set up.

Catering in the VIP Glamping Area

We were based in the VIP glamping section, serving guests throughout the day and night.

Our service included:

• breakfast for early risers

• lunch and dinner service

• late-night food for festival-goers

This kind of setup requires constant readiness, as demand can come at any time.

Overcoming On-Site Challenges

Shortly after arriving, we hit another issue — a power trip caused by an appliance somewhere in the field, which temporarily knocked out power in the surrounding area.

We quickly adapted, sourcing alternative equipment to keep service running and ensuring guests still had access to hot drinks and food.

Events like this highlight the importance of:

Running a Near 24-Hour Operation

Festival catering doesn’t stop.

Across the event, we operated almost continuously, serving:

• early morning breakfasts

• daytime meals

• late-night food

It’s a demanding schedule, but essential for keeping up with the needs of festival crowds.

By the end of the festival, the team was exhausted — but it was a hugely rewarding experience.
