When Our Event Catering Goes Viral On TikTok

A few months back, I received an unexpected call from an events company with an intriguing proposition: they were organising a New York-themed event for a client and were in need of some authentic American-style catering.


With our buses and signature pizza slices, they believed we were the perfect fit for the occasion.


Curiosity piqued, I eagerly inquired about the client.


The answer? Canary Wharf Group—a prestigious opportunity indeed.


Their vision?


To transform a street in Canary Wharf into a bustling New York City block, complete with loft apartments (which is what the event was promoting) and iconic landmarks.


And we were invited to be a part of it.


Our task? To serve up a plethora of pizza slices throughout the event, including offering Happy Hour deals at £1 per slice during peak times.


What ensued was nothing short of spectacular. We found ourselves inundated with orders, serving close to 2000 slices each day—an unprecedented feat for us.


But it wasn't just about the pizza.


The organisers spared no expense in creating an immersive New York experience, complete with authentic road signs, Instagram-worthy props like subway cars and taxis, and vibrant graffiti adorning the streets.


The buzz surrounding the event was palpable, and it didn't go unnoticed.


From TikTok virality to coverage in The Sun, our slice of the Big Apple in Canary Wharf became the talk of the town—a highlight of the year and a testament to the power of a well-executed theme and good food.
