When an old friend, who had once been one of my talented chefs in the pizzeria kitchen, approached me to cater his wedding, I knew I couldn't resist the opportunity.
Not only was it a chance to reconnect with a former colleague and friend, but it was also a great honour to be part of such a special day.
The wedding was set against the stunning and rustic backdrop of Furtho Manor Farm, a charming countryside venue that exuded both elegance and warmth—an ideal setting for a celebration of love and unity.
Our task for the day was to handle the wedding catering, and we decided to serve up an abundance of NYC-style pizza slices.
These huge, delicious slices became the talk of the wedding, leaving the guests raving about the rich flavours, crispy crusts, and fresh toppings.
We created a variety of pizzas, from classic options like Margherita and Pepperoni, to more creative selections that suited the couple's personal tastes, ensuring there was something for everyone.
Though the groom didn’t jump behind the pizza oven to show off his old pizza-making skills, he couldn’t resist reminiscing about his days as a pizza chef in our kitchen, playfully assuring everyone that he could still toss a perfect dough.
It was a heartfelt moment, reminding me of the passion for pizza that had originally brought us together.
As the night went on, the atmosphere was filled with joy, laughter, and love. I felt incredibly proud to be a part of James and Annie’s special day.
Congratulations to the newlyweds, James & Annie—may your journey through life together be as satisfying, fulfilling, and enjoyable as the perfect slice of pizza!
